baggu product look
FEBRUARY 2024
For this project, I was assigned to create three new products for a pre-existing brand, while still aligning with their visual brand identity.
THE PROCESS:
MOODBOARD & SKETCHES
The brand that I chose to work with was Baggu. Baggu is a brand that makes different bags and accessories in fun, bright prints, but they primarily focus on reusable grocery bags. I love the designs and prints that they do, and I also love the sustainability aspect of it, so I thought it would be the perfect brand to choose. We were assigned to create three new products that did not yet exist for the brand, but still keeping it within their original branding. To fit in with the fun patterns and sustainability, I chose to create a reusable water bottle, a phone case, and a set of reusable, glass straws.
ILLUSTRATIONS:
After illustrating the bears, I created the same bears on a white background, and made both of these into a pattern in order to then put onto the products that I created.
For my illustration, I decided to draw some silly bears. I did a lot of research on the pre-existing Baggu prints, and I did not see any that looked similar or had bears in this style illustrated. After doing the simple outline of the bears, I added some color and shading to them, which I think made them look really cute.
FINISHED PRODUCTS:
After creating all of the packaging and prints, I brought the illustrator files into Adobe Dimensions to create 3D mockups of the items. I then created a scene with all of these objects together, in a setting where they would all be used.
FINAL PRODUCT SCENE:
AUGMENTED REALITY:
BRINGING MY PRODUCTS TO LIFE.
Using Adobe Dimension and Aero, I’ve brought my product to life in an entirely new way. With a simple scan of a QR code, users can instantly view a dynamic 3D model of the product right before their eyes. This innovative approach takes product mockups to the next level, offering an immersive, interactive experience that bridges the gap between digital design and real-world visualization.
